The Knife
Designed and built for skinning your trophy and weighing in at just under 3.75oz including the sheath! As any good engineer does, the Rhino was designed from the ground up, with a single focus on skinning, and built to exacting perfection.
The Rhino blade shape offers EXCELLENT maneuverability for lefties and righties, in any way you decide to hold the blade. The hook on the back locks in 3 fingers more solid than you can with any traditional skinning knife, making sure you don’t loose grip. The dip in the pommel perfectly holds your pinky in position. Why make the knife so small that only 3 fingers fit on the grip? To offer maximum maneuverability getting in those tight spaces on game while still offered the most solid hold imaginable. You can literally hold the knife with 3 fingers by putting pressure on the handles guards.
The knife is made with an extra steep Scandi grind giving MAXIMUM strength and easy sharpening, but the steeper angle creates an even sharper edge for all your processing needs. The art comes in with the blade finish with a Scav-Eng-ed Etch which is done by hand to give the blade that distressed look as if it was picked up by a Scav-Eng-er. With the etch across the entire knife, there is an extra protective layer against corrosion. The handle is made from a piece of hand-picked exotic Zebra Wood to accentuate the overall idea that this is to be used on wild game. Full tang makes this extremely heavy duty, ready for your abuse, and delivered hair shaving sharp.
The Sheath
Made to match the artistic Scav-Eng-ed styling of the blade, the sheath is made from a single piece of hand formed, hand stitched, leather. The zebra striping is done by hand, then artistically distressed to have that same look as the blade in a Scav Eng developed proprietary process. It offers two eyelets with paracord to wrap around your neck as needed, with the intent to make it small enough to fit in your field dressing kit. The leather strap and stud offer a very tight fit so it doesn’t get loose in your pack, and you can also wrap the paracord around the knife handle for redundant retention if you are so inclined.
The leather is delivered to you oiled and coated with a layer of atom wax for extra protection from the elements.
